Why CEF material is worth using! by Ivhan Rusli

I have been involved in children’s ministry for over twenty years.  Before coming to CEFOntario I spent a couple years as part-time Children’s Ministry Director at a church and six years at a Christian bookstore.  At the bookstore I also spent time as the head of curriculum.  During that time I became familiar with the many different types of curriculum and what they had to offer.  A lot of the material was fantastic, with great visuals and bells and whistles, but there was always one problem, they all assumed that all the kids being taught had already received Jesus.
It wasn’t until I began to serve with CEFOntario that I discovered curriculum that always has an application of the saved and unsaved child.  CEF curriculum, coupled with the CEF teaching method has been the most effective means I have ever encountered in teaching children the gospel.
It takes a bit of work to learn, and will take some time to prepare, but if our pastors will spend hours preparing their sermons for their congregations, should we not spend some time preparing to teach our children?
You won’t regret learning to use CEF material to teach your kids!
